Welcome to Elusia's House

This is the website of Elizabeth C. Lombardo. Elizabeth, or Betty, was our mother. She passed away on August 27, 2003. Her life was a fine example of patience, perserverence, faith, hope, and charity.

The middle picture is of Ma and Mike, her husband and our father. Mike, or Sherm as we called him, died in 1972. He was inducted into the Auburn High School Hall of Fame in November 2008.

Ma never said no to anybody, and worked her whole life to raise and take care of her family the best way she knew how. Even now, a little over four years after her death, her presence is still felt by anyone who comes into our house. Anyone who knew her can still feel her on Perrine St. in Auburn, NY.

Ma was a gifted potter, we will also bring you images of some of her work. Her work with the Navajo Indians with New Mexico was exemplary.

You can still see her walking up and down the street, or driving in her car over to Wegmans or P&C to buy groceries for our evening meal. She loved to cook, and never tired of trying new ways to make our favorite meals. I miss her more with every passing day.

We hope to make this site representative of her many and varied talents, and to give some insight into the strong faith that carried Elusia through her important and light filled life. This is the website of Elizabeth C. By the way, I am John B. Lombardo the third son and third child out of 4. Mike was our oldest brother; Mike was never a Jr, and died in December 1991 from complications after a long battle with prostate cancer that had spread into all his bones. Mike the younger I think was 48 years old when he died and my father Mike was 51. My other brother is Dr. Lucien Xavier who is a distingusihed professor of Criminal Justice at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. My Sister Francine Elizabeth is a dedicated hard working health care professional in Wilmington, North Carolina. Here is a family picture of us all.
